Celebrate and promote empathy in your classroom this April with Peekapak for a chance to win!
April is the perfect month to celebrate empathy, as it’s a time of renewal and growth. That’s why Peekapak is excited to announce our April for Empathy celebration, where we invite classrooms and schools to participate in weekly empathy activities for a chance to win a $50 Amazon Gift Card!
Each week in April, we’ll provide a different empathy activity that you can do with your students. Completing each activity will earn your class an entry into a prize drawing at the end of the month. So not only will your students be learning about empathy, but they’ll also have a chance to win a prize for their class!
Week 1: Share your classroom response to Inés’ letter
Inés is the main character in Peekapak’s first lesson on empathy. In this activity, we invite you to share your classroom response to Inés’ letter to hello@peekapak.com. What did your students think about Ines’ situation, and how did they show empathy towards her? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
Week 2: What did your students learn about empathy?
In week 2, we invite you to read “The Peekapak Pals and the New Student” empathy story to your students and then ask them what they learned about empathy. You can have them write their responses, create drawings, or even act out a skit. Share their responses with us at hello@peekapak.com.
Week 3: Create your own song, poem, or poster about empathy
This week, we invite your students to get creative and make their own song, poem, or poster about empathy. You can take a look at Peekapak’s video and music library for inspiration! Share your students’ creations with us at hello@peekapak.com.
Week 4: Share a picture of your students with their empathy certificates
In the final week of our April for Empathy celebration, we invite you to share a picture of your students receiving a Peekapak empathy certificate or a picture of your certificates displayed on your classroom wall. You can find these certificates in the library under “Extras.”
By participating in our April for Empathy celebration, your students will be learning about empathy in a fun and engaging way, and your class will have a chance to win a $50 Amazon Gift Card. So mark your calendars and join us for a month of empathy-building activities!
