Gratitude Challenge for Grades 6–12

by | Oct 23, 2025

See the Good. Feel the Good. Do the Good. Share the Good.

Gratitude isn’t just for the little ones. In fact, research shows that when middle and high school students intentionally practice gratitude, they experience higher levels of wellbeing, stronger relationships, and better emotional regulation.

That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Peekapak 5-Day Gratitude Challenge — a short, engaging classroom experience designed to help older students reflect, express, and act on gratitude in meaningful ways.

💬 Why Gratitude Matters for Teens

Adolescence is full of change — social pressure, academic stress, and big questions about identity and purpose. Practicing gratitude helps students pause and reset, shifting their focus from what’s missing to what’s meaningful.

By learning to recognize the positives in themselves, others, and their environment, students develop a more balanced outlook that supports mental health and resilience.

🗓️ The 5-Day Challenge: Simple, Reflective, and Real

Each day of the challenge takes just 5–10 minutes and focuses on a different aspect of gratitude:

DayThemeStudent PromptSuggested Classroom Output
MonGratitude for YourselfThink of something you’ve accomplished recently. What strength helped you do it?Students share a “Proud Moment” note or post-it for a classroom wall.
TueGratitude for People Who’ve Got Your BackWho has supported or encouraged you lately?Write thank-you notes or short shout-outs for a “Support Squad” board.
WedGratitude for ChallengesWhat tough situation helped you grow?Group brainstorm: “What did this teach me?” Collect 3–5 reflections.
ThuGratitude in ActionHow can you make someone’s day better today?Class kindness challenge — document small acts with photos or notes.
FriGratitude for the World Around YouWhat’s something in your school or community you’re thankful for?Create a shared collage, slideshow, or digital “Gratitude Wall.”

Educators lead the short reflections, and students respond through writing, art, photos, or class discussions.

📸 Share Your Gratitude Story

This year, we’re inviting educators to share their classroom’s gratitude moments with Peekapak.
Here’s how to participate:

  1. Facilitate the challenge in your classroom anytime this November.
  2. Capture your class’s reflections — a few standout quotes, photos, or a short video.
  3. Submit your highlights by emailing hello@peekapak.com.

Your class could be featured as a Peekapak Gratitude Champion on our Wellbeing Hub and social channels — and receive a digital certificate of recognition.

💡 Tips to Make It Meaningful

  • Display a Gratitude Wall where students can post notes or photos.
  • Start or end each day with a 5-minute reflection.
  • Encourage creativity — playlists, quotes, and artwork all count!
  • Close the week with a class discussion: “How did gratitude change your week?”

🧡 Celebrate Gratitude, Build Wellbeing

The Gratitude Challenge is more than a weeklong activity — it’s an opportunity to build positive classroom culture, boost student wellbeing, and remind everyone that there’s always something to appreciate.
