As we look back on an incredible year, we at Peekapak are filled with gratitude for you—our dedicated community of educators, parents, and partners. Thanks to your support, 2024 has been a year of impactful growth, innovation, and connection. Read until the end to see how you can share your year of impact with us for a chance to win.
Here’s what happened at Peekapak this year:
💬 Spanish + Arabic Resources were Added
Due to high demand from our bilingual communities across the globe, we put a priority on embedding student facing Spanish and Arabic resources in the platform. When feelings and emotions are taught in a students native language first, it can make it easier for them to grow their self-awareness. New translated resources include:
- 📅 Activity Calendars (Spanish)
- 💌 Letters from the Characters (Spanish)
- ✏️ Journal Templates (Spanish)
- 🖍 Mindful Coloring/Doodling (Spanish)
- 💬 Gr. 6-12 stories (Arabic)
- ✨ Gr. 6 + 9 slides (Arabic)
What’s next? In the next year, we are aiming to get another level of storybook in Spanish for K-5, and translate all middle and high school stories! In Arabic, we are aiming to translate 5 additional K-5 stories in Arabic, and student facing handouts.
📖 Grade 4/5 Short Stories were Added
You know your students best – That’s why we’ve added an alternative short story option for grades 4 and 5. If the Peekapak Pals aren’t resonating with your students, opt for the short story under the Materials dropdown. These stories navigate through the same topics as the storybooks, except with more mature characters and scenarios, to help better relate to students aged 8-10.
✏️ PK-5 Lessons were Refreshed!
New lessons and activities and handouts, oh my! We gave our content a bit of a makeover based on user feedback. Check out the Perseverance, Empathy, Teamwork and Kindness units if you haven’t had the chance yet!
What’s next? The remaining units will be released throughout 2025!
