As the beginning of a new calendar year is upon us , it is the perfect time to reset and introduce (or re-introduce) goal setting into your students routines.
Peekapak’s ‘Rise and Thrive’ Goal Setting Challenge is designed to empower students to set SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals for the year ahead. Not only will it help students of all ages develop essential goal-setting skills, but it will also encourage them to take actionable steps toward achieving their dreams.
Instructions:
- Use a SMART goal template to hand out to students during class time(download Peekapak’s template here).
- Optional: Teach students that in order to persevere and have grit, you need to have specific, measureable, actionable, realistic goals with a deadline to achieve them and a plan to overcome obstacles
- Have students write or draw at least one SMART goal they want to achieve over the month of January.
- They can choose goals related to academics, personal growth, hobbies, or any area of their life they wish to improve.
- Submit your students’ goal creations to Peekapak by February 1, 2024
